With reference to previous correspondence (33800/7/37)
regarding the Hong Kong Immigration and Passports Ordinance,
1934, I am directed by Secretary Sir John Simon to say, for
the information of Mr. Secretary MacDonald, that he has
received from the Colonial Secretary's Office, Hong Kong,
copies of this Ordinance of which a specimen is enclosed.
Sir John Simon observes that there has been no amendment
of the Ordinance in the manner indicated in the Colonial
Office despatch of the 28th November, 1934, and Sir John
Simon would be glad to know the result of any consideration
which may have been given to the amendments suggested.
